They say Copying is a Form of Flattery

It's true, I was browsing blogs and found a beautiful card using Stampin' Up!'s Fifth Avenue Floral set and neutral colors.  I cased it here, added a polka dot ribbon (not Strampin' Up!), SU's You're a Gem set, and some Basic Rhinestone Jewels.

The colors are Crumb Cake (one of my favorites) and Basic Black.  The Modern Label punch is also a favorite of mine. If you look close, try double-clicking on my image, you'll notice that there is an extra layer, with overlapping images that I found so elegant on the original.  Here's the original:

I desperately need photographyhy tips.  You can find this original card here http://stampingimpressions.blogspot.com/.  And the color challenge where I spotted this pretty card was here http://stampincelebration.blogspot.com/.

  1. Hi Suzie! I'm so flattered you CASED the card. I love your version. That Friend image and is perfect for this card. Wish I had thought of that ;)

Photography...it's always tricky. It looks like you may have used a flash on this picture (not sure). I found the brightest natural light spot in my house so I don't have to use a flash. Of course, it's a lot of experimenting. For most of the year I use my living room and take pictures @ 3:00 PM. In the winter, I use my craft room @ 11:30 AM. Find your 'magic' spots and you'll have great pictures.

But, sharing your card is the important part, so don't sweat the small stuff...hee hee! Thanks for letting me know you CASED me. I love to see what others have done.
